Travel In Rural Prince Edward Island With Kari

Kari is trying to build an Island-wide network of drivers for Prince Edward Island and we try our best to match riders with drivers anywhere on the Island.

We offer TWO options for Rural Travel in PEI:

1. Local Drivers – This is the least expensive, unfortunately due to lack of drivers it can be less reliable. Requires 24 hour pre-booking minimum.
2. Book a Driver from Charlottetown – This is the most reliable method, however may be more expensive as you’re booking a driver from the Charlottetown Region.

LOCAL DRIVERS

When booking your ride – pre-book at least 24 hours in advance and you will be given a price and can proceed to book your ride. 

When this ride is booked, the request get sent to our drivers and you will be notified if one picks up the drive. Easy!

Unfortunately, while we’re trying to build up our roster of local drivers in all areas of PEI – we do not have drivers in all areas so there is a chance that the ride isn’t pickup by anyone and you will not get a confirmation nor will we be able to fulfil the ride.

BOOK A DRIVER FROM CHARLOTTETOWN

Our most reliable option is to book a driver from the Charlottetown region. The ride will be booked as a multi-stop ride and you simply use Charlottetown, PEI as your last stop.

You can book this on-demand or pre-book, and it all but guarantees a driver will be there to pick you up.

EXAMPLES:
If booking from the Cavendish Visitor Information Centre to North Rustico, you would book in the Kari app like this:
Pickup: Cavendish Visitor Information Centre
Add-Stop: North Rustico
Dropoff: Charlottetown, PEI.

If booking from St. Peter’s Bay to the Fortune, you must book in the Kari app like this:
Pickup: St. Peter’s Bay
Add-Stop: Fortune
Dropoff: Charlottetown, PEI.

Pricing for these rides is based on dispatching drivers from Charlottetown so drivers are compensated for their time and expenses.
